How do I change my e-mail preferences on my Windows Vista laptop?

I just recently got a new HP Laptop pre installed with Vista Business. When I first turned it on, I typed in my Gmail e-mail address. I recently made a new e-mail account that I am going to use as my main account for other reasons.
