Basically, I forgot my password and asked yahoo to autogenerate a new one. They sent it to my alternate e-mail and then I realized I no longer have access to that dead alternate account.
I have no idea now how to get my alternate e-mail changed (don't know the new password). I feel like I've locked myself out permanently and there is no one alive in Yahoo customer service apparently to help me. you must gain a new password the same as you did at last time
but this time after you answerto yahoo questions(birthday and country code) you must answer to challenge question

2. Click the 'Forget your ID or password?' link
3. Confirm your identity by entering your date of birth, zip or postal
code and country
4. Enter your Yahoo! ID in the 'Forgot your password?' box on the left
side of the screen
5. Click the 'Get New Password' button
